    Why the Third Mark Is the Hard Part

    Marks of excellence compare your combined damage on one tank — damage dealt plus the higher of spotting or tracking assistance — with every other player of that tank on your server.

    2 marks · 85% You beat 85% of players on this tank
    3 marks · 95% The top 5% — the hardest part of the grind

    Your percentage is an exponential moving average, so recent battles weigh far more than old ones. Two consequences matter when you order:

    Progress is not linear 65% → 85% takes a solid average; 85% → 95% takes a consistently top-5% average, where one weak battle can cost what three good ones earned. That's why the last 10% is the most expensive part of the price.
    The bar moves Thresholds are recalculated from recent results of all players of that tank. A tank popular among strong players can have a much higher 95% bar than a less played one of the same tier.

    What Decides Your Price and Time

    If you haven't decided which tank to mark, the choice affects price and time more than anything else. A tank is a good candidate when:

    • its current 95% threshold is moderate for its tier (check community stat sites or ask the operator);
    • it has a fully trained crew and its best equipment already mounted;
    • you actually play it — a third mark on a tank you never drive is mostly a trophy for your profile.
