Object 260 in World of Tanks: How to Get It in 2026 and Whether It's Still Worth It
Object 260 is a Tier X Soviet heavy tank you can't research or buy. It is the reward for the last of four operations in the first personal missions campaign, and getting it means finishing a chain that starts three tanks earlier.
This guide covers the part the Tankopedia page doesn't: the exact route, how the tank is assembled from five components, the shortcut that lets you skip one final mission, where most players get stuck, and whether the tank still earns its place in the garage today.
What Object 260 Is Today
A fast breakthrough heavy with a very strong turret and a 122 mm gun:
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Hit points | 2,100 |
| Damage per shot | 440, standard penetration 260 mm |
| Reload / damage per minute | 11.0 s / about 2,400 |
| Armor | Turret front 350 mm, hull front 150 mm |
| Top speed / view range | 60 km/h / 400 m |
In recent NA statistics (Wotlytics, last 30 days) it wins 52.4% of battles and averages 2,482 damage. That's solid for a Tier X heavy, but it is no longer the tank that leaves everything behind: its hull front is far thinner than the turret, and 260 mm of standard penetration needs premium rounds against the toughest fronts.
The Route: Four Operations in a Fixed Order
The first campaign opens operations one by one, and each reward tank must be earned before the next operation unlocks.
| Operation | Reward tank | Missions | Vehicles that count |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | StuG IV (Tier V TD) | 75 | Low and mid tiers |
| 2 | T28 HTC (Tier VII TD) | 75 | Tier V and up |
| 3 | T 55A (Tier IX medium) | 75 | Tier VI and up |
| 4 | Object 260 (Tier X heavy) | 75 | Tier VI and up — final missions are realistic mostly on Tier X |
That's 300 missions from a fresh start. Each operation has five branches — light, medium, heavy tanks, tank destroyers and SPGs — and each branch is played only in vehicles of that class. Missions in any operation can always be done in Tier X vehicles.
How the Tank Is Assembled: Five Components
You don't get Object 260 for a mission count. Each branch's 15th mission gives one component, and the tank appears when you have all five:
| Branch | Component |
|---|---|
| Light tanks | Power unit |
| Medium tanks | Suspension |
| Heavy tanks | Hull and turret |
| Tank destroyers | Gun |
| SPGs | Radio |
Honors are not required for the tank. They decide something else: completing a branch's 15th mission with honors gives you an Order.
The shortcut: Orders
An Order can be placed on any mission, which then counts as done without honors. Missions 1–14 take one Order each, a 15th mission takes four. Orders can even be placed on a 15th mission when the 14 before it are not finished.
Where Players Get Stuck
The difficulty isn't spread evenly. Our mission prices are set by how many battles a mission usually takes, so they show where the time goes in the Object 260 operation:
| Branch | Most expensive single mission | All 15 missions, single prices |
|---|---|---|
| SPGs | €90 | €354 |
| Heavy tanks | €33 | €278 |
| Tank destroyers | €50 | €237 |
| Medium tanks | €30 | €211 |
| Light tanks | €30 | €176 |
The SPG branch alone is close to a third of the operation: its conditions depend on stuns, assistance and finishing high on your team, which takes many attempts in a class with uneven battles. That's why many players spend the Orders shortcut on SPG-15.
The jump between operations matters too. T 55A already roughly doubles the single-battle numbers of T28 HTC — 12,000 HP combined for HT-15, 6,000 damage for TD-15 — and Object 260 continues on top of that. Players who cruised through T28 HTC on Tier V–VI vehicles often stall here because their garage stops being good enough.
The Garage You Need
- One strong vehicle per class, Tier VIII–X. Every branch is class-locked, and thresholds like these are realistic mostly at the top tiers.
- Trained crews and equipment on all five. The SPG and light tank are the ones players usually neglect.
- Credits for premium rounds and consumables. Final missions are single-battle results; saving ammo is the most expensive economy.
Is Object 260 Still Worth It?
| Worth it if… | Skip it if… |
|---|---|
| You like fast heavies that lead pushes with the turret | You only play one or two classes — all five branches are needed |
| You want the campaign badges and the tank as a long-term trophy | You want the strongest Tier X heavy by numbers alone |
| You already have T 55A or are halfway through the campaign | Your garage has no Tier VIII+ SPG or light tank and you don't want to research them |
Stuck on the last missions?
Order only the Object 260 missions you have left — from €4 per mission, with or without honors — or the whole first campaign in one order.

Can I start with the Object 260 operation?
No. The first campaign opens its operations in order: StuG IV, T28 HTC, T 55A, then Object 260.
Do I need honors to get Object 260?
No. The tank needs the five components from the 15th missions. Honors on a final mission give an Order, which helps you skip a mission.
Can I do the missions in Tier X tanks?
Yes. Missions in every operation of the first campaign count in Tier X vehicles of the right class.
What happens to an Order after I use it?
It stays locked on that mission. You get it back when you complete the same mission with honors yourself.
What do I get for finishing every mission with honors?
Each operation has two badges: one for receiving the reward tank and a higher one for completing all 75 missions with honors.
