    Rule of thumb: if the tank is already elite (everything researched), combat EXP on it is wasted — order Convertible EXP instead.

    How Much EXP Do You Need?

    Open the tech tree and add up what's left: the remaining modules of the current tank plus the research cost of the next one. The EXP already on the tank counts. Typical cases:

    One stuck stock tank Enough EXP for the top gun and engine — often the smallest order
    The next vehicle in a line One Tier IX → X step usually takes the most EXP in the line
    Several steps in a line Order per tank: EXP only lands on the tank that is played, so the booster moves from tank to tank as each is researched
    Need 575,000 EXP or more? Take 600,000. The 5% discount starts at 600k, so anything from about 575k costs more than the discounted 600k order.

    3000+ or 3500+ WN8?

    Every battle is played at the WN8 level you choose, even on a stock tank, so research doesn't cost you statistics. Choose 3500+ if your recent battles will be checked.

    Is this the same as free EXP?▾
    No. Combat EXP stays on the played tank. Only about 5% becomes free EXP automatically. For free EXP, order Convertible EXP.

    Can the EXP be split between several tanks?▾

    No. Nothing is spent or converted without your explicit permission.
